LookBack to:

A new way to reminisce

LookBack is the world’s first platform providing immersive reminiscent experiences. Designed for the elderly, especially people with dementia, the app can be used to revisit old memories and create new ones.

Innovating and improving current approaches

Reminiscence or ‘time travel’ Therapy is one of the most effective and commonly used forms of treatment for the psychological effects of dementia. LookBack makes reminiscence therapy more immersive, engaging, and accessible to anyone anywhere.

Global in impact,
Personal in nature

The app contains immersive experiences from around the world and can be downloaded anywhere.

To personalize, filter the experiences according to a desired time and place in history and create a customized ‘time travel’ itinerary for a person with dementia based on their own background and preferences.

LookBack contains a wide variety of reminiscent simulations, experiences, and 3D objects that can be used to reminisce in an engaging new way. It is available for any smartphone or tablet, and can be paired with a simple VR headset to add immersion.

Fostering Connections

With our companion app, a person with dementia can share the experience with their carer or loved one, who receive helpful information and prompts on a separate tablet or phone to help stimulate communication.

What others are saying

It amazed me how happy they were. It made me a bit tearful because they were loving it. I think it will be a really good thing for Dementia and Alzheimer’s patients in years to come, I really do, because I think it could be another step forward.

Most of the residents were more vocal than normal, recalling memories from times they had spent in the past. I noticed that most of them showed feelings of happiness and were smiling and laughing and this induced conversation.
